Raiders have been pretty used to seeing zone wide nerfs and buffs on current raiding tiers once the main progression race is over and less progressed guilds are still struggling to beat bosses. Blizzard usually gives a raiding instance a zone wide buff, such as the DPS buff we saw in ICC or a zone wide nerf to boss health and damage, such as as we saw in Dragon Soul.
But even though this is an expansion ending raid tier, Blizzard confirms we will not see the same buff or nerf for Siege of Orgrimmar. Instead, they plan to look at progression and make targeted nerfs instead.
The tweet was actually made last month, but MMO-Champion recently highlighted it, as it was something many people missed.
Considering we are looking at many more months of farming Siege of Orgrimmar, it is still going to make farm nights a challenge without a buff or nerf to help less progressed guilds along.
This will also likely make the market for heroic Garrosh mounts last longer since fewer guilds will be killing heroic Garrosh than might have done with a buff or nerf to the instance, which is good news for those who are killing heroic Garrosh easily enough that they can carry an extra body, but bad for those who were hoping for a nerf to be able to kill the boss.
The 5.4.2 patch is hitting on Tuesday December 10th, but there is nothing much in the way of healer changes. You will now be able to send account bound items – such as Timeless Isle gear – to alts on different servers, which should help those who may have their mains on one server, but a collection of alts spread out on different servers. This also allows BOA gear to be sent cross-realm, so if you have BOA gear spread out across realms, you can easily use it to level now.
This won’t be the last patch prior to Warlords of Draenor, so we can expect to see more changes in an upcoming patch closer to the release date.
If your Holy Radiance seems to be healing for less than you think it should, the good news is that it was an unintended bug that was causing it to only heal 5 players. There is a bug report here if you are wanting to know specifics.

There is plenty of speculation over the “sometimes” part, but the good news is it is hotfixed
We have added all the new Siege of Orgrimmar raid bosses to our raid guide section, so they are ready for you on patch day!
Some are still a work in progress, especially since things can change from how we have tested them on the PTR, so any comments, suggestions and tips are greatly appreciated! I am continuing to add tips to them as I talk PTR with raiders from different guilds who have had different testing experience. Then I expect to be updating them on the fly as I progress through the raid on patch day, so be sure to hit reload if you are struggling on a boss.
We are also working on all the new trinket pages, and will have new weak auras for them as well, or feel free to share any of your own weak auras (and we would love to give you credit!)
