Iron Juggernaut Detailed Strategy Guide (incl Heroic) for Healers
Iron Juggernaut is the sixth boss in Siege of Orgrimmar.
The biggest problem on this fight is bomb soaking by raiders, which requires CDs and immunities, and often significant healing. Druid tanks are the best for this job if you can dedicate a 3rd tank primarily for bomb duty. Otherwise, use players with damage reduction CDs.
This fight requires a lot of movement, so be prepared with any glyphs/talents that will enable you to more effectively heal/dps on the move.
Be aware that Shock Pulse in P2 will knock players back until they hit something, meaning you can be knocked back to a gate or wall behind you, which can be a pretty far distance from the raid at a time when significant raid healing is required. Depending on where you tank the boss, there are a ton of walls, fences, catapults etc that you can stand in front of to reduce your knock back and can heal up the raid quicker. Do be aware that explosive tar spawns under players, so don’t stand in your designated knock back spot until right before the Shock Pulse goes off, so you don’t take unnecessary damage. Resto druids can use Displacer Beast and pop it as soon as the knockback starts, to stop it.
There is a blade Ricochet which will target ranged raid members, which causes ~350k damage per hit during assault mode. In Siege mode, the new mechanic is mortar barrage, which launches cannon’s from the Iron Juggernaut’s sides, damaging those within 8 yards.
During P2, there is a Mortar Barrage mechanic added – be aware that you can get surrounded and die by them if you get knocked back into an enclosed area without an easy escape route, such as the fenced area by the catapults. If you have to soak one, use a personal and try to not be in one that overlaps, as each one does 500k damage on heroic.
